We are currently hiring a Director, Financial Planning and Analysis to join our team! Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis is a newly created position responsible for leading the Company’s budgeting, forecasting, long-range financial planning, metric development, bank compliance and general analysis. This role will provide the executive leadership team with accurate and timely financial information necessary for making business, operating and strategy decisions. Our private company is looking for a Director of FP&A, preferably with CRO experience, to help prepare for sustained growth. The role is on a hybrid schedule with time in our Durham, NC office, as necessary. This is a highly visible position and requires excellent presentation skills. This role will also work closely with Business Operations to develop reporting cadence and assist in optimizing business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Daily, weekly, monthly internal reporting and analysis
  • Metrics development
  • Backlog, book-to-bill and utilization report maintenance
  • Work closely with Business Operations
  • Lead the annual budgeting process
  • Update forecasts and report variances
  • Assist in long-range planning model development and maintenance
  • Analyze current monthly financial results versus data and forecasts
  • Bank/Credit agreement reporting
  • Cash and balance sheet financial modeling
  • Assist with reporting development
  • Create and deliver executive presentations on various initiatives
  • Participate in and possibly lead various infrastructure and systems development projects
  • Make recommendations on financial and operational improvements
  • Identify key trends

Qualifications

Graduate Degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or similar discipline along with 7+ years of progressive accounting, finance or business analysis experience including:

  • Minimum of 2 years direct management experience
  • CRO experience preferred, as is international experience and exposure to Federal contracting and reporting nuances
  • Excellent skills with reporting and analysis tools such as Power BI, Power Query, Excel, Powerpoint, Spotfire, etc.
  • Experience with SQL or database development, a plus
  • Experience with NetSuite or Adaptive planning & reporting helpful

As required by pay transparency laws in some states, Rho provides the range of starting compensation (annual salary or hourly rate) it reasonably expects to pay for a given role. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to role responsibilities and location as well as candidate skill set and level of experience. The range of starting pay for this role is $170,000-$210,000 per year.
